fuk i'm sick of hearing stuff like that, if they made their reports more informative instead of completely negative maybe young people would learn something
surely they know that telling a teenager NOT to do something will usually make the urge to do it stronger... any parent that thinks their children will never try drugs is in denial
i think there's only been 1 or 2 deaths in australia from ecstasy use, and i'm sure that was either from lack of water (or too much) or taking a bunk pill
the chances of either happening would be lowered if people were educated on this sort of thing.. you'll never be able to stop people taking it, so why not teach them about it?
but with things like pillreport.com people can play it safer without having to trust what they friends cousins friend said about the pill... of course there will always be the stupid people that don't really give a and will drop anything, and they can go for it, they're not endangering anyone but themselves (not like drink driving)
although there was a report on ketmine on today the other night, it was quite well done, i don't recall any 'experts' talking on there, just ravers who used to take special k... after seeing that i definately won't be trying it ! |

Lets face it... drug use isnt a particularly well accepted practice in our society, its pretty much standard, at least publically to condemn the use of drugs - could u imagine the outcry if OPRAH was to air an UNBIASED, TRUTHFUL and BALANCED show on ecstacy and its effects??
thankfully not everyone walks around with the wool over their eyes - the internet is a wonderful thing... bluelight, pillreports, erowid... all great resources helping people make decisions based on balanced information, not one sided propoganda vomit. |

my email to oprah
hi, im just writing u in concern to the episode u did on the rave scene.. and i believe it was highly unaccurate, how ever i do agree that alot of drugs do go on at a rave however, people dont only go for that, i have been attending them for a while now and not once have i ever taken anything relative to what u covered in ur show, if anything alcohol at a nightclub is more likly to result in a fight and concerns alot more people then afew people dancing to the music they love, and in no way does the music involve such stimulant to cause people do take drugs as u so put it. Drugs are a large problem in todays society however u shouldn't emphasize that its mainly converned to the rave scene
thankyou Tas
lets see what she responds |

has anyone ever gave thought to why oprah is so popular? (to americans that is) it's rather stupid but amusing thought.
Well esentially she's just gone and appealed to the typical majority of americans ie. the usual white picket fence middle class americans that are always in her audiences gazing at her with adoration. THe stupid part is she's managed to appeal to them by basically relating to them all as a whole and has made herself filthy rich off that. Her shows are fillled with teh same old boring material with just differnt people. bleh:P |
