OK, so I went and had a play on one of these at the weekend. It's nice, this we all know anyway.
The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that you don't get full kill on the EQs. Since this machine is 100% digital, am I right to assume that it's possible for Pioneer to release a firmware update that could give full kill?
Why would they not fully kill all the EQs anyway - I mean wouldn't most people prefer that??? And as it's been released as it is, do you think it's likely or unlikely that this future enhancement may come along?

| Not gonna happen. They chose -26 because, according to their research, more DJs preferred it to full kills. EQing is smoother without full kills. |

| the djm400 goes to full kill (-infinity) the 800 doesnt? |

| Why doesnt pioneer take the behringer idea and put kill buttons by the fader. Behringer stole Pioneers whole mixer line, why not steal their kill buttons :D |
