Newcastle / Sunderland DJ's???

Hellloooooooo?!?!? Is there anybody out there?

The hard dance / trance scene up here has been gone for quite some time. Are there anybody left? I can't remember the last time I spoke to a local trance DJ (the pop clubs dont count).

watch this space, i'm promoting a new night up here in the coming months which will be very trance orientated. working with digital at the moment, but might be doing this at foundation once they've sorted their finances out (rumoured to be filing for bankruptcy atm).

i have stayed away from the newcastle scene since vuzz/twisted logic ended pretty much.

there is junior g, but i've never been due to other commitments.

in middlesbrough there are some trance nights on @ sugar shack, empire. hardwick & myself bi-monthly, and there are some special guest djs to be announced very soon

I'd be interested in running a night again if I could find a decent club to do it at. Digital is crammed with other nights and all Sunderland clubs dont seem to understand what trance is, nor would they even let someone have a go at promoting a night. Its ing the scene up here these days.

quite. lee foster did play a part in running privilidge in sunderland but from what i gather it wasn't as successful as hoped. trance up here is pretty dead -at least in tyne and wear. i know foundation numbers dwindled and twisted/vuzz really struggled to get people in.

imo the only way a night could be successful up here is if you put a big name alongside local/more underground djs. i've talked to other local ta's in the past and putting oakie/jules/pearce to get in the public & charvs alongside people like riley+durrant/kershaw/hardwick/tulip was the only way we could forsee a medium/large sized night sustaining any real prolonged success and possible development and growth of the trance scene back up here
