Hello,
I have Digi 002 rack soundcard, and i am running it in windows. It comes with stand alone wavedriver and asio drivers enabling use of soundcard with other windows apps. My question is, is there a better stand alone driver for it, that would allow me to use multiple channels of the digi with multiple windows apps. I am trying to make it work with Winamp's Shoutcast source DSP plugin and it does not event see it. Plus the drivers allow only one program at a time to use digi sound card. WTF?? the m-audio fast track i had before had no problem accomplishing what i am trying to do. Why is digidesign not being as flexible as cheaper cards? Anyone has the same problem? |

thoughts..
-you can only use one program at a time with the 002.
-you must enable the correct driver wthin winamp for audio i/o. If winamp doesn't see the driver, you need to either re-install winamp or the digi drivers, or it's simply that winamp won't use it.
You could also try using the digi002 at the standard soundcard from your computer's "sound" control panel.
The other solution would be to find an alternate shoutcasting app. |

thank you for reply,
the winamp only sees output channels 1 and 2 for playback. It wount see the input channels. Is there a way to reconfigure the driver to set any other channel for playback other than 1 and 2 ?
Also, there is no control panel to control the things like buffering samples and other things.
Ideally i want to run one winamp for playback on channels 3 and 4, and use channels 1 and 2 for regular playback of editing programs, stuff like that. And at the sime time i want to use input channels 1 and 2 to run audio into shoutcast and 3 and 4 to run the audio into recording app. All at the same time. So far i think I will have to switch to another sound card, like m-audio, but i love the sound quality of the Digi002rack and i would like to keep it. |
