If you like trance, the odds are very small you have never heard of the Belgium born Dutchman. Known for his productions as part of Airscape and Svenson & Gielen, Johan Gielen has done remixes for artists such as Tiesto, Delerium, Safri Duo, Boy George, Chicane and many more. Gielen is ranked high in the international DJ charts and he has played at almost every club or party in the world. In Japan he lived some golden years as resident of the prestigious Tokyo based Club Velfarre. Later on back in Holland, he played an important role in the rise of the famous Dutch trance sound that would conquer the entire world. Being a resident of the world''s largest trance event “Trance Energy”, and performing at “Sensation White” (a party that could easily be labelled ‘the worlds leading dance event''), Johan played to crowds of up to 35,000. 2006 brings the launch of his debut album on his own “Tunes for You”. Some of its tracks like ‘Flash'', ‘Dreamchild'' and ‘Show me what you got'' have already been released. Undoubtedly, his new productions will top his past monumental productions and take him to a new level. Year after year, Johan has been a definite favourite in Vancouver, and he is sure rock the crowd again at Simple.
