Sadly, yes.
Hell, I had a guy ask me if he could grab my balls. I told him no and he walked away. Did that ruin my night? No, because why should it? I still had a blast. |

Great words, DJ NEMESIS.
I used to live in Halifax and the only decent club that managed to pull weekly progressive nights and bring big name DJ's like Ferry was Reflections, a gay club. And really if one really enjoys quality music he or she shouldn't care that much about the place being gay. |

Different promoters & DJs pull different crowds. Those 2 factors outweigh the influence that the venue has. The same people that would come out to that promoter's shows or to see that DJ will still come out to that venue so it's a ridiculous thing to get hung up on. Though personally I'd rather not party around the type of people who have a problem with having a relatively small percentage of gay crowd that will come out. I'll take partying around 10% gay crowd over 10% gangster/thug any time. |
