New iPods Support Gapless Playback

delobbo
this is for if you have separate tracks. sure you can combine them all into one track but its all about convenience. easier to hit next 4 times and get to the 5th song than navigate to it using search... also keep in mind there are like, non-dance cd's that also ideally require seamless playback.. such as Dark Side of the Moon, Violator, etc. its more convenient having separate tracks and have them play gapless.

All I know is I want the new shuffle:

i don't understand all the hoopla... when I put mixes on my iPod they are 1 track and if I want to skip a track I just fast forward with the scroll wheel which is ace...

if I rip mix comps on CDs that I have... I use Cool Edit Pro and rip all tracks as 1 complete track then transfer to said iPod.

+1 for me, except i rip with Easy CD-DA Extractor

keeping mixes/compilation CDs as 1 track just makes things soooo much easier.

I'm sure everyone has their unique way of listening to their tunes. I have all my mixes split into tracks and tagged with Artist and Title. Otherwise I won't know what track I'm listening to half the time w/o going back to my pc and looking it up.

Exact Audio Copy & foobar2000 own.

defragment your iPod and the gap will be <1 sec, not really noticeable to me. specially when I should be focusing on studying math and not on the music.

Listening to music with dedicated AMP for headphones on nice comfy bed FTW.
