Tips voor de jury
Het definitieve puntensysteem lossen we zo op: NIEUW SYSTEEM
Er worden 3 criteria in acht genomen en volgende uitwerking kan je daar dus wa bij helpen. Op elk criterium staan verschillende punten.
- Mixtechniek: vooral beatmatchen, phasematchen, toongebruik enzo... mensen die bvb een overgang lang en deftig kunnen aanhouden verdienen natuurlijk meer credits dan iemand die instantly switched of flink uit de bocht gaat (aka trainwreck)
Dit is de meest technische component om te beoordelen, dus laat je in dit criterium niet echt meeslepen hoe goed de rest van de mix wel is. Als een Dj bvb 10 van zijn 12 overgangen uitstekend doet, geef hem dan gerust 80% of 90%; terwijl iemand die maar 3 goeie overgangen heeft gerust een 40% verdient...

- Structuur: is de mix goed opgebouwd, passen de nummers goed achter elkaar, zit er een verhaal in, wordt er niet te ruw of op de verkeerde momenten gemixt,...
Heeft de set een duidelijke richting of weet de dj niet waar hij naartoe wil?

- Concept: wat is het idee achter de set en hoe is het uitgewerkt?

En een goeie motivatie erbij moet toch ook wel kunnen uitsluiten dat er persoonlijke belangen meespelen in het oordeel.
Daarna wordt van alle dj's in de poule het gemiddelde genomen en wordt de score bekendgemaakt.
Geluidskwaliteit is op geen enkele wijze een norm om de mixes te beoordelen. Je moet er rekening mee houden dat sommigen via andere media (zoals bvb minidisc) moeten werken, en dat er al het een en ander verloren gaat. Sommigen hebben maar een slechte kabel om het mee op te nemen en dat kan dus ook wel af en toe es wa ruis veroorzaken. Wij hebben nie altijd professioneel materiaal voorhanden...
