NYE in Australia!!!

Mortyman
I know it's a bit early to be talking about NYE, but seeing how my past 8 months has FLOWN by, I'm really gonna have to start thinking about where I'd like to be in this country come NYE. :D

So I want this thread to be about the parties, DJ's, and locations. I wanna hear as much as I can about what this country does to celebrate New Years. I think I heard Big Day Out or 2 Tribes was last new years, can't remember which one.

Being in Sydney for so long, I fell in love with the party scene there and assume they will go the biggest on New Years. :conf:

So let's have it, I'm sure companies are planning for this night already, but which ones am I gonna wanna look out for the most?
Thanks
:D

Tank are bringing out some wicked non-trance DJs for New Years ;) Which is where i'd be if i was in the country

Daft Punk has been confirmed as a rumour, but Fuzzy should bring out something pretty good, and Fuzzy Field Day will be wicked

And Sydney Fireworks are world class, almost as good as melbourne Souvlaki

there's always a big party in melbourne on nye, but a lot of people would say the one on new years day is better, called summerdayze, but its a bit early just now for lineup details and stuff.
Mortyman
Hmmm, Summerdayze, maybe that's the one I heard about?

on the contary, where is good in canada? i'll be in Vancouver or whistler NYE
Mortyman
Never been in Vancouver for New Years. But Whistler is alright. It's quite expensive to get into the clubs up there for NYE... tbh, the best parties up there are house parties, EASY! There's loads of them going on every year, but it's just too damn difficult to hit more than 2 in the night, so pick 1, wisely, and you'll have a ing blast! :D
gbanga
sounds wicked. shouldn't be a problem finding one as half of australia will be there anyway.
when i was there a few years back at 9am on australia day there was 200m line to get into the pub!

in terms of aus, nyd is way bigger than nye. summerdayze is very commercial, but does pull big acts if you can brave the crowd (80% muzzas and posers). its all so really expensive.
sunshine people is the smaller, harder alternative. depends what music you want i guess.

my throughts would be to eat a large doese of some random perscription drugs and wonder round the city siging blame canada. just a thought
