For the third consecutive year, the VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE has teamed with Southern Comfort to present “The Road To Voodoo Tour.” This year’s featured artist is renowned electronic/dance music artist Ferry Corsten.

“The Road to Voodoo Tour featuring Ferry Corsten presented by Southern Comfort” is a four-and-a-half week trek which launches September 27 in Phoenix, AZ. Corsten will perform 27 shows in 20 states traveling in a special “Road To Voodoo Tour” SoCo bus. The tour will conclude with a special October 28 performance at VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE in New Orleans where Corsten will spin from the top of the tour bus, immediately following the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ set.

A pioneer and dynamic force in the electronic/dance music world, Ferry Corsten never ceases to amaze, awe and challenge his musical contemporaries with the unstoppable ingenuity and skill he injects into his productions and DJ sets. His new album L.E.F. (LOUD ELECTRONIC FEROCIOUS), recently released on ULTRA Records, features guest vocalists Simon LeBon, Howard Jones, Guru, Debra Andrew, Oz and Denise Stahlie. Upon its release, the record reached #1 on the iTunes Dance charts.

Corsten, who has sold-out numerous performances world-wide, was named Producer of the Year at the Ericsson Muzik Awards in 1999 (over P. Diddy, Rodney Jerkins and others) and received the win for Best Remix at the Dance Star UK Awards in 2000 (William Orbit- Barber's Adagio for Strings). He’s also received multiple Winter Music Conference nominations for Best International DJ, video, compilation, producer and remixer; was named Best Trance DJ at the 2005 DJ Awards; and has done numerous successful remixes for Moby, U2, Fischerspooner and Duran Duran, among others.

The annual New Orleans celebration is set to take place over its traditional Halloween weekend (Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29) and music fans can once again look forward to a diverse line-up of talent reflecting the multitude of cultures which define the city. The eclectic mix of talent that the annual New Orleans’ music festival has become known for so far includes: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Wu-Tang Clan, The Flaming Lips, My Chemical Romance, Social Distortion, Kings of Leon, Ozomatli, Secret Machines, Blue October, Brazilian Girls, Broken Social Scene, The Fiery Furnaces, Joseph Arthur, Drive-By Truckers, Jack’s Mannequin, Yerba Buena and The Rentals.

This year marks not only the return of the two-day musical convergence to New Orleans, but the return of the event to its rightful home in City Park, after being displaced and relocated by last year’s hurricanes.
