i finally got around to listening to this mix the other day, i have been dreading it and honestly, this is the worst mixing i have heard from any dj at all in my entire life. period. all fukenold jokes aside, i was hoping it would not be as bad as everyone is making it out to be. and i keep reading things like "give the guy a break," or "he's done so much for the scene," and "maybe there were technical difficulties." its all bull. if there were technical difficulties, radio1 would have cut the feed - end of story. this man is either stone-deaf or a complete ****. and i could honestly care less what he "did" for the scene 5+ years ago, he isn't doing a godamn thing for it with this set.
i could mix better than this when i had some cheap-ass hollow, belt-driven numarks over five years ago. this is hideous. if i had of paid good money to get to ibiza, and then to end up hearing this crap i probably would be in jail for murder. there is no excuse for sounding like complete in this day and age. he needs to give it up or get ableton, one or the other. if i were him i would shoot myself. seriously. this is awful. his haircut is better than this mix.
on a side note, i may go to this night to check out sandra collins, or to make fun of paul. i want to be a bigger person than i am being right now and say i'll give him a chance, but honestly, i don't know if i can given this latest mix. |
