anyone here like Caving by any chance? Jenolen Caves is great for it, especially the ones which require you to abseil into the cave and crawl through really tight passages
And in Laos me and this Brittish guy spent a few days exploring the caves that are riddled through the Black Limestone Karst Mountains pictured _here_ which was fascinating because inside were Buddhist temples and bunkers in undergrown caverns left over from the Vietnam War when the US dropped a tonne of bombs per every man woman and child in the country (the US still denies this :rolleyes: ) we explored some passages without guides or maps and came out covered in mud - pretty dangerous in retrospect but you do crazy things when travelling :crazy: |
