So these guys have been quite busy lately adding some phenomenal players to the roster...

Lastest additions

Fabio Cannavaro
Emerson
Ruud Van Nistelrooy

It's gonna be good...

ya but thats adding phenomenal players has always been Real Madrid's mantra and yet they up because they never had a coach good enough to control the egos ever since they sacked Vincent Del Bosque.

They got Capello for a coach this season which is probably their best signing of the lot. I really want to see them get the results this year.

Chelsea, I dont even consider a football club ne more. They running up losses every year that would have put any other club into bankruptcy and still continuing to buy big and sell cheap.

Agreed, they got a billionaire in charge with bottomless pockets but its destroying the competitive nature of english football.

aye aye aye, thats all gone down in history now. I can always dig up madrids history of silverware and compare it to barca :whip:

Enjoy your gloating while it lasts. Its only a matter of time before Rijkaard realizes that you havent played a football team until you play one thats managed by Capello.

Reals going to be a dads army. How's the good ? All three of those players are past their prime. Even Cannavaro who was excellent in the world cup probably has another 1-2 seasons left in him. What Real needed was quality young players. Instead their going to start the season with a overweight superstar in Ronaldo, and a lazy forward in Ruud leading the attack. Not good enough to beat Barca I'm afraid, who have really gone out and made some quality signings. Zambrotta and Gudjohnseen are significant improvements in that team, and will ensure they win La Liga again.

Real need to build for the future with players like Cesc Fabregas, Reyas, Cristino Ronaldo, Mascherano / Diarra, Torres...not aging superstars. How's have Emerson and Cannavaro any different from the Galatico's policy ?

The way I see it, Madrid won't finish higher then 2nd...and maybe a QF place in the Champions League.

PS. I'm not a Barca fan. I just think they are a team headed in the right direction, where Real had to settle for the bargin sale of Juventus because they couldn't lure their first choice options from the other top clubs in Europe.
