Apparently, police were responding to a "noise complaint" from across the street, where public broadcaster CBC looms over Idol's home base, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Police confirmed to the CTV crew that the complaint originated from a CBC staffer. The CBC these days is smarting from the dismal early ratings for its talent showcase, The One: Making a Music Star. Police surveyed the crowd of 1,000 Idol onlookers gathered just before 8 p.m. and, after inspection, said no noise bylaws had been compromised. CTV confirmed the story, adding "they were amused." |
The fact that the cops would even respond is pretty sad.

Kudos to the cops though for not laying charges... but i wonder if the same thing would have been the case had it been a nightclub? |

awesome slogan too.
too many complainers. why can't people have fun any more.
too many old fogies who want quiet and nothingness.
i saw on the news the other day, a bunch of people are gathering around random neighbourhoods to play manhunt. like tag but if you get caught, you are it until everyone is it. if there is a pub, you can go get a drink while playing and do what ever. sounds cool and we should try it one day. |

its actually a game where people play at night in a huge neighbourhood or part of a city. you can hid or run anywhere as long as its legal.
