Cut, paste, put a tape in the dishwasher, sample an old tune created when you were 10, record a stupid tape full of nonsense with your friends, sample Mussorgsky's "Exhibition" and try to sing it backwards, search the net for some crowd-sounds and make sure you don't up the mixing too much when you put all those things together in a song...
This was originally meant to be ambient techno or something, but I couldn't stop putting in al those weird sounds, sorry:o

very cool, unique opening! not my cup of tea personally, but its certainly unique and will have appeal to listeners of this genre.. whatever that may be.
wow just like random samples and such its very orinigal and i just like the warm mysterious vibe i get from the beginning - this has orbital written all over it which i totally respect that stuff even though i dont listen to it.
the bassline that you start with is spot on - possibly bring kick up a click thats all.. to match bass generally considered standard.
wow - LOVE the portamento brass or whatever they are great in chrod progression.
the twinkle synth is a little wierd for me, but for this song it works. youve definitely got something if you can finish this piece up - i have no idea who picks this stuff up, but find out who does orbital. goddamn i love those portamento brass or whatever it is let me know what that is thats very solid.
aight bro - keep that up, you dont mind if i dload this and put it on my ipod do you, id like to play this for my gf shed get a kick out of it.. loves the cool, unique edm.

The "portamento brass" is actually, ehr... yea, I can't really remember what it is. Probably some of the ethnic sounds I've put in. I've cut it up in small parts, rearranged and pitched them with +12.
This is actually my first attempt at making this kind of stuff, but I must say I also had a small history in experimental techno and ambient. (That last one is an interesting for me, nowadays:) )
Because I'm still thinking of a name for the project, you can label the "artist-tag" as "maddoc", for just now...

I finally changed the mixing a little and added another layer, I think it's done. I hope I didn't make things too messy by adding that last layer, so I need some confirmation from you people if it still sounds "in control"...
