i dont really want things to get overheated, would more fanning help or should i look at another cooling method.

think of it as a speeding alarm cars have. in the BIOS there should be an option to pick a degrees C setting for when the alarm goes off. you can set it higher or lower, but turning this alarm off wont mean youre suddenly flying blind.

im onto my 3-4 system and ive overclocked several of them, and i have never had an issue with heat.

like i said, youll get ample warning before you do any damage. playing HL2 wont hurt your system. i promise :)

when i open up the task manager to check the stats when it beeps and the CPU is peaking hard up around the 90 - 100% mark.

?? are you sure it will be fine if i just switch the alarm off?

its coz youre playing a game. intense!

the alarm doesnt do anything apart from make a noise. it doesnt change any settings, so at the moment youre still doing all you want, youve just got that annoying alarm going off.

it'll be fine, promise!
