Hey there, My name is Chen, i'm 21years old from Israel..
First of all, The thread msg is sort of a joke, and i'll try to do my best to not talk about politics in this one,
Anyway, so this is my story,
I like germany, I really do. My grandmother is Chech, and my granfather Hungarian, Both my parents speaks German (They haven't taught me any of it :/ )
I've even been in Austria / Germany last spring..
Anyway, I'm starting to study at Tel Aviv University on October, and wanted to fly abroad one last time before school starts.
Berlin is currenty number one on my "need to pay a visit" cities...
So I address you "GETA" guys to share your knowledge and help me..
What events I should try to attend? (I'm thinking about a week of vacation sometime in the 8th month...
I don't have much details about my trip cause it's going to be sort of spontanic (as it can get),
but still, i'd love guys to help me plan this thing.

| Sir. Lunchalot |
| If you`re interested in (the sad) history of Germany you should definitely visit Berlin and Nuernberg. Hamburg is very nice as well as munich. If you plan to include Austria, go to Salzburg and Wien. :) |

Hi Hamburg, your pretty far from Berlin, 200km? (I'm really guessing from seeing the map of germany)
anyway, basically i have no problem going to Trance Raves
(Trance = AVB etc...)
I don't have problem with Rock concerts.. but i'm not so familiar with the german music scene except for Ramstein ;) (are they still playing?)
Hobbies? Well I have a girlfriend, so this trip is basically about site seeing and hanging out :) |

Hamburg is in nearly 300 kilometers distance to Berlin!
There was a Rammstein tour last year; this year untill now there is no one announced!
The following places in Berlin You should visit:
- Brandenburger Tor (it's a gate near the old borderline of the 2 german states)
- Reichstag (the parliament of Germany)
- Straße des 17. Juni, Unter den Linden, Kurfürsten Damm (the most famous streets in Berlin with many historical buildings and also known for shopping)
- Museumsinsel (it's an island in Berlin where You find a lot of museums)
- Potsdamer Platz (many great modern buildings; a new modern part of Berlin)
- Prenzlauer Berg (nightlife and many more)
- Tiergarten (a big park in the middle of Berlin)
- Potsdam (a city near Berlin; there You find the castle "Sanssouci")
- and many more...
For more informations just look at: http://www.berlin.de (also available in english)!
