hey man, the best bet would be to throw something on campus... probably start small, but being on campus would get a more more people, just b/c there would be no travel involved.
first thing you should do is network with a bunch of people that are into the music. (good start coming to TA for help ;) ) Make some friends at school that love dance music, so you have a base of people to get out to your events, then move on from there.
keep us updated with your progress.
PM Topher, myself or Chris (Phreek) and we'll be sure to give you any help that we can. |

hey..
from what my friends at IU tell me, the 'interest' you're probably talking about is unfortunately mostly 'Oh yea I love Techno!!! Sandstorm man, darude is so cool!'
But you will have a group (albeit small) who would love a proper event in Bloomington.

Funk Enterprises (In-D-Tribe) has been consistently throwing parties in Indianapolis. Before they started the scene had been dead for a while on account of strict law enforcement. Besides that and the club scene in Indy, that's about it for EDM near Indianapolis. I can't speak for the rest of hte state.
Good luck, and I hope you like IU. Lots of my friends do. |
