i've felt they've treated us very well. the community is alive, the games live up to the hype, they recently re-optimized the engine xbox360 style.
Garry's Mod just added portals to their features.

kind of an incredible machine type game with better graphics, and cooler concept.
i love the part in the trailer where there's apparently two portals in a corner of a room, and he's just walking through them over and over and over, and you start to see yourself walk through the portal. pretty badass

Portel looks intimidating but too fun to miss out on. I love the twisted sci-fi theme Valve have had going since forever too. Best designers in the world.
