Unfortunatly half way through the night we recieved numberous noise complaints from residents and were forced to turn the sound down tremendously. We have a meeting with the club to try and figure out a solution to the sound and we should have it all sorted out before the end of this week.

Nobody thought that will happen ahead of time? There's a hotel and residental living across the street.

well what happened is that we brought the EAW monitors from inside on the main booth outside for the luke fair night to try that out. Well since they have their own amp, are pretty damn loud and were pointed in the direction of where the complaints came from that is what caused it. We did not bring those monitors out for the heather night and had no problems. This week is Kemit and Karl Injex and we are going to go with the set-up that we used for heather and see how it goes.

If that fails we have another plan of action which will be having the outside open and making the gallery the main dance area with the dj in there for a very upclose personal feel and intimate dancefloor and tons of extra sound plus we will still have the inside sound piped outside kind of like what we do for the PVD nights.

I personally would like to do the zab night on the main floor but put james at the front of the stage rather then on the back of the stage. I think his sound would work better that way but thats just me.

I agree 100%. Zabiela needs to be hovered over and watched like a hawk.

sucks about the patio, but i coulda told you this was gonna happen. if the monitors were the only thing driving the noise complaints, than you probably didnt have a nice sound system out there at all, so what's the point (by nice, i mean SOLID bass and highs)

i think just about every patio/terrace in the world has these problems tho. i mean, , SPACE in IBIZA had to close down their terrace due to noise complaints, and put it all inside (although it still has that outdoor terrace feel  )

i think the only way around it is LOTs of bribes, or to just be in a location where noise complaints wont be an issue (think, run-down ghetto like space in miami). don't think that's ever gonna happen in midtown atlanta

my 2 cents

but good luck with the next show out there ;)
