... if I accept this job offer.

Any suggestions as to finding a good place? (i.e. anyone know of any relatively affordable housing options)

I spin prog house/some prog trance mainly and produce a little as well(myspace.com/benmbrown for examples), so obviously I'd like to know whats going on in terms of the scene and all of your perspectives on that as well.

It's not set in stone, but I'm letting them know by the end of the week if I accept :eyes:

Any other comments/suggestions would be appreciated. This is a huge decision for me!

btw I'm currently in Indianapolis.

Really depends on where you'll work and how much you'll make.

Work is located off union/fillmore.

I'd rather not share the salary details publicly :tongue2 , but i'd be willing to spend a little extra to get a place near work.

That's Pacic Heights / Lower Pacific Heights.

Fun little area. I'd try to get a place around there, if you can afford it. A bit pricey. I live right off of Fillmore (but further further south, on the border of Lower Pacific Heights and Western Edition...not so great area, although I love my apartment).

You would be about a 10-12 minute drive/cab ride from every major club in SF. That's with traffic.

If the lights work right, maybe even faster.

lol so just tell him what you'd be willing to spend on a place per month, it'd help him help you, and you wouldnt be giving away salary details publicly lol

mkay... i'm not that worried about the salary thing, didn't want to come off as over-sensitive with regard to that.. anyway, i'd say around 2K would be at the upper end of what i can get into... might look into getting a 2br with a friend of mine that's in town as well.

Oh you'll be fine if you are able to afford $2000/month on your own.

More than I can afford, lol.

2k a month?
move down to fairfield or vacaville wich is about a 30-60 min drive depending on what part, and buy a house with type of payment you could get a nice condo or small house...

good luck:)

anything over 1k/month on rent is throwing your money away. just a buy a house

been to sf? Not that I know much about housing up there, but I hear its the most expensive real estate in the state. I know by my area in Long beach, you can barely get anything under 1k per month and we are relatively cheap :wtf:
DaveT
Buying a house up here is probably the most expensive, but, actually, Los Angeles recently passed SF as the most expensive city to live in in California.
