I recently built a new computer with a pentium 4 1.8Gh, 512 ddr, and a soundblaster audigy platinum soundcard...My question is, why is it that when I run say about 5 effects the cpu meter goes up to 90 or 100+ percent and my comp starts movin slow...Before I had this setup I had a athlon 1.3 Ghz, 512 sdram, same soundcard, and the cpu meter wouldn't go about 10 percent if I had 5 effects going....both were running windows me...Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening n my new machine....

Well I heard an wild rumour about pentium: it's not good with making music :( But, it's just an rumour... And the same rumour told, that U should get a prog which can tranceform progs like Fruity into pentium format...Or something.

I don't know if this is any help at all.

The rumour is true, Pentium isīt very stable when it comes to music programs.
