Hey UK TAs...I'm from Florida, planning a 10 day trip to London around September-November. I'd like to move there in the next year & want to do some searching to places to live, work & go to school. I'm also hoping to get some places to play around the UK, but we'll see how that goes.
Anyway, I've had some really ing bad experiences with the last few hotels that i've booked online, here in the states. I'm hoping some of you may be able to guide me in the right direction as far as really ghetto or really nice. What places to partiers in London go when you rent rooms after shows, or for hotel parties? Not looking for 200 dollars a night or anything, but last weekend I got stuck in the worst hotel in one of the worst part(College Park) of Atlanta. Not looking for those fun times to be repeated in an entirely different country.
Any suggestions or help would be hugely appreciated!!!

Almost forgot to ask what big shows will be in the UK from September-November?
I'm into really good trance(AVB & the likes) Downbeat, Jazz, Funk, DnB...Pretty much anything with good bass.:D |

my experience of UK hotels has been similar, no matter what you pay.
they all seem pretty crappy.
there is one hotel in brighton which is worth a lot more than they charge (peliroccos)
but on the whole, I'd just go for travel lodge type hotels - they are cheap, give you a bed/tv/coffee and no frills.
they are generally available wherever you want to be in london. |
