My GOD you people complain too ing much! :)
Take the out of your ears next time and listen to the sick trance tunes being dropped. And also, deal with the fact that, when you have a crowded club...in the summer time no less...IT'S GOING TO BE HOT. Maybe step outside for some air sometime? Or hey...take a dive in the pool in Eden like one or two folks did :)
To be honest, that was THE most bangin' set to ever grace Eleven 50.
I really can't remember the last time I danced like I did last night. When Armin came on, I think I took a break for all of 10 minutes.
Next time, turn around and look at the crowd and look at how he had every single person in that club in the palm of his hand for the entire 3 hour set.
Tunes of note (I ID'ed a lot more, just don't feel like listing them all)...
Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms (Markus Schulz & Elevation Remix) (holy...ing...) :eyespop:
Amnesia Bros. ft. Jennifer Rene - Louder (ing WOW! Beautiful track)
Filo & Peri - Ordinary Moment (Unknown Remix - B2B remix I think...)
Armin - Control Freak (SVD Remix) (every single body in the place was jumpin' to this one)
Plastikman - Spastik 2006 (Randy Katana Remix)
Armin - Communication (Part 4?) Didn't sound like 1, 2, or 3. Anyhow, I love this beautiful classic.
As always, thanks to Devin for bringing Armin back to Atlanta.
And Brandon - Happy birthday mate. Was great going to dinner before hand - GREAT place. Sorry you and Jack had to bail early, but that's always understandable. You do what's you gotta do :)
Jack - No need for words man. Always good to party with my long lost brother :)
Jay & Mandy - Always a pleasure hanging with you two! It seemed like a million flashbulbs went off when Mandy got up on the stage next to Armin :)
Drew - You are the in' man dude. We'll party again soon. Flip flops? HAHAHA ;)
Met a bunch of other great new folks at the show. If any of you are on here and reading this...was great meeting ya :) |

I have wanted to see Armin Van Buuren for some time now, and finally got the chance to see him yesterday @ Eleven50. The opening show with Dj Ian James was pretty great towards the end.
Armin did a great job, and the crowd really loved him, but for someone who is a little older. Please excuse my bitching, but I must say, when I was 18-20 I always got pissed off when the clubs in Miami/Orlando would not let anyone under 21 into their clubs, now being in my mid 20's I completely understand why clubs limit certain ages in their clubs. Too many "kids" are getting all screwed up, rolling, sucking on rubber pacifiers, blowing their damn decongestants sticks in one another faces. Whatever happened to the days when people just danced, and listened to muzik?
What really pissed me off was when some kid tossed his glow stick at Armin, now that is really screwed up. That just was not cool.
Keep your pacifiers at home, or better yet, in your baby brother(s)/sister(s) crib. And for some people, make sure you wear your speed stick. Some guy in front of me smelt horrendous, and I went home all sweaty, nasty as it was, it was not even my own sweat!
Other than a few of the jerks there. The show was great!

And for those who did not go. Here is a video.

I will have to agree with you about the jerks and the kids. They're hard to miss pretty much anywhere you go. At the shows during the week, you're always going to have the under-21'ers and anywhere else you go, you're going to have the wasted jerks.
Come on people....know your ing limits.
Anyhow...I just do my best to always avoid those types and not let them get to me. Once you start letting things like that really get to you, all you're doing is setting yourself up for a miserable time.
And yeah....people...deodorant. It's a wonderful thing. :toothless |

Aww I got mentioned in two threads. I must say big upz to the birthday boy. Sounds like you had a great night, and I enjoyed meeting you. Also with Trey, I enjoyed bashing Wendy. I knew trance united people with the music, but two people against a chick? That was pretty rad.
Armin was rediclous though. I thought he was better this time around opposed to when he played on my birthday back on Oct 12. People complained about the stage being crowded, but I dug it. I was getting knocked around so much I felt like I was kind of crowd surfing. (Or something. Really who knows.)
How about when Armin stood up at the end like that? I've never seen a dj do that.
Other key notes on the show.
* I saw a bunch of people I knew from my previous visits to Eleven50. Always cool, especially when you are coming in from Orlando.
* Im awesome at grinding.
* I probaly gave out 900 high fives.
* I might of put my arm around 450 people.
* Armin was the .
* Eleven50 is a great club, and Space in Miami is overated as hell.
* There are two bartenders at Eleven50 who are cool as hell. They always caiter (sp) to my needs. I gave them plenty of high fives.
Until my next visit to Atlanta..... see ya guys next time. |
