Yah, and I didn't like that little house/electro-clash house part he went to in the middle (which we all knew he was GOING to do) save for Terranova & Leeds - Shake Me which is a ch00n. And I still thought he should have played more stuff from his upcoming artist album, of which I only heard Complicated.

I actually enjoyed it more than November, but was upset that some bouncer pulled me off the stage cause I was using finger lights. "No glowsticking!" Yeah, just ruin my fun why don't ya... ;)

And I didn't get this whole thing at all. Apparently van Dyk is tired of candii ravers and glowsticks haha.

Oh I met Samira last night. Didn't know she was a tranceaddict too.

Other songs: New Order - Confusion (thats the song they play at the rave in Blade, with all the blood sprinklers and stuff). That track was awesome, definitely revive the crowd.

I don't even know if we could say he played a Motorcycle song, it was so remixed you could barely recognize it lol.

I found a way to not pay $billion for water...just get one bottle for $3/bring your own and then go to the bathroom and fill it up (I tipped the guy a dollar in case he was going to say something). The faucet is at least a foot above the bottom of the sink, so there is plenty of room to fit the bottle without getting the neck nasty. Saved me $12.

Edit: as for the glowsticks, sometimes they'll throw the sticks at the DJ (if they don't like his track choices?). Someone else speculated this was just another gig for him (b/c his November mix wasn't anything in comparrison to his European tours), so I can see him asking for no sticks so he can screw around if he wants without getting hammered for it. :/

I think Armin interacts with the crowd a lot more; keeps it interesting and fun. You can tell he doesn't think much of eleven50 (last time he was guzzling champaign like nobody's business, mixing suffered), but he still seems to have more fun than PVD. I like how he set up the booth right on the stage, couldn't believe he was only four feet away... Can't wait till next wednesday.

That New Order - Confusion song you think you heard is actually sampled into the last half of Play It Louder, so in a sense, that was Play It Louder you heard (not an Ableton edit sample either). Don't believe me, get it ;)

I do that all the time, not news to me :p

We could still throw all the various beer bottles lying about on the floor you know :p

Paul had a great time last time he was here, he did two encores which from what I gather he rarely if ever does in Atlanta.

New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix)

One thing I noticed is PvD being very comfortable with Ableton Live. He was mixing in and out of tracks fairly seamless. For instance, he mixed into Confusion for 2 or 3 minutes before switching into another track. His track selection was spotty because he tried to please the crowd too much with classic anthems: For An Angel, TooL, Nothing But You, etc. How can you go wrong if you play every anthem for 3 minutes each? Maybe he stole that one from Armin's playbook. I'm with Samira, his November set was much better. It was interesting to see the crowd PvD draws. A lot of people who don't normally goto Eleven50 came out. Lots of lookers. ;) It was great seeing everyone: Demoted, Samira, Shaista, Sydney, Bobby, Leslie, Maggie, Wayne shaking it.

Is this no glowstick rule only for PvD? I think that rule sucks tbh. Eleven50 has been renovating and trying to tailor to the sophiscated alcohol buying crowd. New floors, Eden changed with more VIP areas, less place for people looking to sit and relax. Eleven50 trying to go the way of Space? Bad idea. I hate Space.
