So...I was looking for some intelligent Trance, some light at the end of the tunnel :p Nah, actually I've heard a few IDM tunes and are quite experimental but nice. I wanted to know what albums and groups are the best for this genre? What are some websites for IDM ? Are there actually dj sets for this genre?

How is this the worst really? It's not like I'm asking "What is the best IDM music for going skydiving at 4:03 p.m. in Botswana?". And no, I'm not the chick in my avatar but it certainly is a very good picture imo.

You probably never heard IDM and believe I'm actually looking for some intelligent Trance......

from Wikipedia:

Intelligent dance music (or intellectual dance music[citation needed]), commonly referenced as IDM, is an electronic music genre based on novelty and complicated sequencer programming. The term "Dance" does not mean that the music is intended primarily as music to dance to, it was just a common appellation for various types of electronic music when the word "IDM" established. The genre name was invented by fans of Aphex Twin and Warp Records, but has grown to include the music of other artists:
RapidFire
Adam Johnson. check out his Chigliak album. great ambient/idm/minimal record.

He's been banned from the Ishboard for being an anti-social, intrusive (shock horror) so he's back here.
