Ok, I have to weight in about this. I stopped in Satelite Records yesterday to pick up a few things that I read on that post. I for one like to know what new stuff is available. Yes, Brett is advertising but he is also posting a threat that I want to know about (regardless if no one else wants to know about it!). I am a memeber of this community and one post a month is no too much crap to sift through. Hell how much random do we have to sort through that Mario posts on a daily or weekly basis?!? [You know I love ya dude!]
I also have a problem with Coup coming in here and closing the thread. Stick to your side of the pond or your duties in the Miami forum (if those are still your duties). Keep your ass out of our neck of the woods.
So, maybe we need to discuss this and put it to a vote as a community. If the majority decided that this is no big deal then I think that Brent should be allowed to post once a week and a service to the community, then let him continue. If not then so be it and that is the price we pay for posting in a civil community! |

the thing is.... in ta we have 2 sections
a new releases section.... and a for sale section i dont see the need to clutter the local forums with it... not to mention they have a website
as far as him having a busy life... we all do
exept me right now that im in summer :D |

| Like there isn’t enough threads in this forum. I think 1 thread a month about new releases in your city isn’t harming anyone. Is it really that big of an issue to not click on the thread or is it not? I can literally count 3 or 4 threads that are just pointless. Honestly if I was Brett I just wouldn’t bother with this forum anymore, the attitudes of many are beyond pretentious. Having a promoter post threads about their parties isn't any different imo. Someone is paying the cover and someone will pay for records. So how is that any different? |

And @ TA we have a section for all the crap you post, it is calle the COR, but still your ends up here!!! ;)
His store is local to Atlanta and serves the community here... It is not like AMAZON is coming in here and posting thier new arrivals!! Suck it up and quit your bitching... Welcome to the real world, not everything that you dislike can you just bitch about and have your way.
I had an issue witht he promotter from DC coming in here everyother day an posting his in DC, HE WAS NOT LOCAL AND IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ALTANTA PEOPLE!! This is totally different! |

New Release section os more for people to talk about the tunes being released. His post is Atlanta specific and should be posted in the Atlanta section. Atlanta is a very small section of TA and if something is location specific should it be in that forum. Its 1 post a month and he is not bumping up his own threads. He posts it once and lets it go from there. The for sale section is for someone trying to sell a specific piece of gear or a record. I really don't think either of those forums would fit his post, especially since satellite is atlanta based and they don't sell anything online right now. |
