just curious what is the most you have spent on a single vinyl? and what is the most you would ever spend on a single track?

It wasn't a single record, but i bought a vinyl copy of "Movement In Still Life" a few years ago for about $100 in the end i think. Wouldn't be really interested in paying heaps for rare records, even if i was still playing vinyl as i'm not the collector type (well not like that), but considering it's a rather seminal album for me i had to have it :)

i once spent $60 on a track on ebay but it turned out to be the wrong mix, i was not happy but now it has turned up again and i am seriously considering buying it but it is pretty expensive. do rare records go up in value? do they become collectors items?

i reckon the market would be dimishing from a point of view that you can rip something to CD these days. Obviously not the same thing as having the vinyl for some however.

including postage i got one for about $26 or so but then there was a $25 bank fee for international money order so that made it a bit over $50 :p
i would spend around that for a record i really wanted, but there aren't that many i could think of that would need it. |

I paid nearly £30 ($75) for Digger - Episode 1 (Church of Ra) off eBay a couple of years ago. It's still my favourite track of all time, I'm very glad I got it. :D
