| i saw him here in houston for the first and last time. i am not a huge fan of the lap top dj. and on top of that the lap top just shut off in the middle of his set when he was here. |

| It's my friends B-Day. There will be a big group of us there. Just look for the ones dancing. |

I feel ya. The first time I saw him was in the Los Angeles Coliseum during NYE when he had half his studio rig with him. Played all the classics from ECSM and his early days including alot of collaborations he did with PvD at the time. The Houston set I wasn't feeling. Rather than playing Godspeed twice, he should have played that track once and played Flaming June, which wasn't.
Ah well. As far as laptop DJs go, if they are using Ableton live creatively like Sasha, G&D and in a way like PvD does, then its cool with me...but if all they are doing is overlapping the first and last 1-2 minutes of the tracks, that's pretty lame imo. |

there's a big difference between someone like Sasha using a laptop (because he actually uses it to do incredible things that you can't do without one) and someone like BT using one (because he needs it just in order to BEATMATCH, let alone play a worthwhile set).
BT in Houston was, for me as well, the first and last time I'll see him. That was really just a wretched show all-around. BT's "set" consisted of multiple plays of Dreamin' and Godspeed and none of BT's productions that you'd really want to hear, and then his laptop shut off after around 30 mins. The first opening DJ needed mixing lessons BADLY and the opener right before BT needed to learn not to play the same terrible Tiesto song twice in a row. Then when BT's laptop broke, one of the openers came back and played the SAME TIESTO SONG YET AGAIN. My ears were vomiting at this point and I left in disgust.
So to answer your question, the reason nobody's posting about this show is most likely because nobody gives a damn. |

club is pretty small, and unless your in the middle you are always getting pushed around by others trying to get to another place.
There was a lot of people though, it was packed. |

my thought is exactly about that show. everything you said was right about that being the worst show ever!!! that was the 3rd time I had seen him and it was just a horrible show. the first two times were incredible in dallas at purgatory back in july 05 and then again at wetgrooves austin in august 05. the houston show just sucked donkey balls but he kinda redeemed himself with the show here in san antonio memorial day weekend.
