Now it looks like i've rocked your boat and now you're getting a little personal with it all. It doesn't 'work against' me, it was a point that I heard last week and wasn't sure of why, hence the reason I mentioned it and asked the question. But you've now clarified it - end of matter.

Rocked my boat? not at all.
Personal? not at all.
Why did I say "worked against you"? It wasn't personal, it probably woulda been better to say "works against your argument".
Remember, by your own admission this was a debate. So I am allowed (for that is the very definition of a debate) to argue your points, and I was just pointing out that the fact Foxtel's money wasn't needed by the winning bid actually strengthens the argument of AFL becoming more popular.
I mean, for s sake, it takes a lot more than a discussion about football to get me riled up. |

Again, here's another flag that needs to be raised. Why is fox footy looking at getting canned by the end of the year? I mean, i'd say that would be a 'sure' investment that's positively geared and i'd imagine any die hard footy supporter with Foxtel would watch this religiously? I dunno, but there's always usually a method to the madness. Cost cutting, a lack of interest in people watching the channel that have foxtel, who knows?

I think you might find that has something to do with the new TV rights rather than people not watching ;) |

hehe no sweat mate, glad we went through all that. It's good to have an 'on topic' discussion as most around these parts tend to move away from the original discussion.
Anytime you're down in Melbourne let meknow so we can get out for a few brews :) |
