The Da Vinci Code

yeah i might have to get it, i love fantasy but the entire genre has become so ing generic and formulaic they bore me to tears. the last decent fantasy books i read were Jennifer Fallon - Second Sons trilogy (i think i already recommended that to you already) and Robin Hobb - Assasins series and the sequal s to that.

yeah the robin hobb trilogy was really good, although at the end of the third book it got too much. i dont like the books that follow on from the trilogy though.

if you want non-formulaic and non-generic read game of thrones, it will restore your faith in fantasy

kingslayer (i think) just killed ned's 2 men @ the whorehouse, cate just got to her sisters place with the prisoner. the khaleesi just got to some huge city. the dirty bitch is preggars.

totally confused with all the names & locations coz theres so much there, but fvcking loving it. not quite the romanticism i loved in dragonlance, but the cruel hard world & characters make up for it :) cant say ive fallen in love with any characters yet, but am quite fond of ned, jon snow & arya :)

keep an eye out for tyrion lannister, he is the prisoner that catelyn has taken to the eyrie to her visit her sister lysa. he is diabolical with a sharp tongue and quick wit, you should relate well to him.

the setting is a very cruel world, there is no airy fairy fantasy here, it is brutal. keep reading it only gets better.
