Two arrested in prostitution ring bust

Daily Herald Staff Writer
Hanover Park police made two arrests last week after reports of a
prostitution ring distributing business cards to would-be customers
in the village.
Police first heard complaints from residents in mid-March, Hanover
Park Deputy Police Chief Mark Gatz said. He said the department
utilized
one undercover officer in last week’s sting.
Sergio Castellanos-Romero, 26, of 2121 Narcissus Ave. in Hanover
Park, was arrested around 11 p.m. May 3 after a traffic stop at
Narcissus
and Astor Avenue.
He was charged with keeping a place of prostitution, pimping and
having no driver’s license, police said.
Leidy M. Rivera-Hernandez, 35, of the same address, was also arrested
and charged with prostitution, police said.
Castellanos-Romero would receive phone calls from interested parties
who received his business cards and would set up meeting points
throughout
the village, Gatz said. The two arrests have shut the ring down, Gatz
added.
Rivera-Hernandez was given a June 19 court date, while
Castellanos-Romero’s
court information was unavailable, Gatz said

yup. i lived there for 17 years. it wasn't until the summer of 2004 when i moved out to iowa [like, living here....not in the dorms].
my parents still live there tho. it's pretty ghetto, as far as suburbs go. |
