[Progressive] Kenosis - Hypnosis, 60 minutes, 192 kbps

DJ Kenosis
Title: Hypnosis
Date Recorded: 4.30.06
Link: Kenosis - Hypnosis

This, the first new mix in quite a while, is a progressive/progressive trance mix in the 130-135 bpm range. The feel I was going for is very moody, slightly ethereal, and slightly psychodelic. There are a lot of acoustic guitar/sitar riffs, chanting vocal sections, and acidy synth sounds. I liked Mo-Shic's new prog-psy artist album quite a bit, so I put two tracks from there onto the mix. It ends with a progressive remix of a very familiar (to tranceheads) track. I hope you like it.

Tracklisting

Zehavi and Rand - Paroxetine (Alucard's Dying In Your Arms remix)
Mo-Shic - It Could Be Your Time
Liam Shakar - Resonance
Tegma - One Night in Cairo
Viscid - Orange Room (original mix)
Chakra - Opacity
Mo-Shic - Primavera
Oliver Prime - Sights Beyond
Alexander Polyakov - Reload (4mal burning morning remix)

great ;)

I'm doing another one soon that's a lot more what I usually play (psytrance/hard progressive trance....like some of John '00 Fleming's harder sets if you like that).

Great mix... one tiny little blip in the mixing late on, but nothing to worry about.

Love the Moshic track and the Tegma track. Isnt the Tegma track A Night in Cairo tho?

Actually that title makes a lot more sense for the mood of the track. I didn't hear too many 'drums in africa' in the track called that. Looks like someone at Beatport screwed up :D

Glad you liked it.

Yeah, I heard it on beatport. Not a bad track at all ;). Keep your eyes peeled for something more upbeat from me in the next 10 days or so, Chris.

and I changed the description to include the proper title of that Tegma (not Tegmo, gah!) track. Thanks for the heads up.
