Hey all, time for another round of samplers that showcase the type of choonage I'm playing on Saturday nights at my solo residency at Venus De Milo in downtown Savannah, GA!
As you can see from the tracklisting, I've been going crazy with buying up all sorts of prog/tribal/house remixes of older familiar dance tunes, especially the semi-obscure 80's tracks like you see in the first few tracks. I've got a few other good ones on CD, but have no CD DJ deck at the house to play with :-(
A bit of tribal kicks the mix off, going into some housier sounding material, a brief venture into acid house, then some darker dirty stuff before finishing off on a more, um... happy note? I dunno exactly what to call it, but it always seems to get people moving and smiling (I hate to call it uplifting, but it may be appropriate).
