Wie geht's? :p
Just wanted to let you know that I'm currently learning German at the university.

It's going so well that the professor thinks that I've had some German before, but I haven't. :)

I'm the only one in the class who actually gets it!

Naja, "wie geht's" kannst du ja schon prima :toothless
Sir. Lunchalot
Here are some german sentences for you to practice.

1. Ich liebe nur Trance, alles andere kann mir gestohlen bleiben! = I only love trance, everything else doesn`t interest me.

2. Ein Bier bitte! = One beer please!

3. Können Sie mir sagen, wie ich ins Casino komme, um PvD zu sehen? = Can you tell me the way to the casino to see PvD?

How do they teach you to say ä,ö and ü?

hehe, they just say the actual sounds: "ae", "oe", and "ue".

By the way, the professor (she is German) isn't familiar with the spelling-reform, so she doesn't know where you _nowadays_ have to write "ss", and where the "ß" remains.

Our homework assignment for today was to write a short essay, and I wrote mine on a computer in Fraktur-schrift! (You know, with the long-s, and stuff.) I found a free Fraktur font on the Web, and used it in my essay. She was amazed!

I am the best student in the class :)

I remember a TV interview with Burt Reynolds and he had to say the name of the TV Station: Tele Fünf

Laughed my ass off since he tried more than 10 times before he got it....:p

BTW Eugene: You can really be proud if you catch on german quickly because it`s a real hard language to learn. There`s a saying in Germany:

Deutsche Sprache, schwere Sprache. <- ..and it`s true!
