AMAZING NIGHT.
Wow. I dont even know where to begin. Road trip to Ottawa was well worth it, even if it's one day before Beb... Good times in the car with Wisnia, Stereohead and Moevalith.... Great to party with Princess Kim again, we should do it more often !!!
Preach & Marco destroyed Ottawa and I dont even think the crowd realized. The music was banging from begining to end, pure destruction.
The venue was different than those I"ve seen in Montreal, but it was good. It was nice to party with a different crowd as well, not too many familiar faces, but everyone was super friendly.
Preach - It's been a while since I"ve seen you bro, and I'm glad I made the trip out to Surface to see you before Bal en Blanc. You killed it track after track after track. Sorry we left before the end, but I need to rest up to be in top shape for your early morning appearance @ Beb.... hehehe.... Your going places man, keep it up. Btw, you should come back to MTL more often....:p
Marco - I saw you on Friday at Aria, you killed it. I saw you Saturday at Surface, you killed it. I was planning to go to Beb around midnight, but after hearing your sets Friday and Saturday, I"ll be front row center tonight at Beb. Keep up the good work, I can't wait for tonights set.

Hey btw guys, I know this is a little off topic but I got a question regarding Ontario's afters like Surface. My friends and I are planning to go to Surface soon but they heard that Ontario legal age was 19 years old and not 18 like in Québec. Since 2 of them are 18, we wouldn't want to make a trip to Ottawa and can't get them into the club. So the question is pretty simple, what's Ontario's legal age ? |

K, there are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many funny moments to mention hahahahaha...William and George and Shawn the 2nd Viktor of the night and the smell of poop at Surface, omg 2 many others hahahaha! U guys: Wisnia, Moevalith, Shawn05 are awesome, good times :p
This was my 1st time seeing Preach and nowhere near my 1st time seeing Marco. We got there at around ummmmm 2:30am-ish I think. The Machine was already ridiculously destroying a dancefloor with a crowd that had NO idea what was gonna hit them. They were just insane together. Funny moment: Some girl verrrrrrryyyyyyyy pillee and covered in sweat comes way too close to my face, points up to Marco and says (very loudly in my ear with a sprinkle of sweat on my cheek) "MAN PREACH IS GREAT LOOK, LOOK, LOOK AT HIIIIIMMMM!!!"
I was like :rolleyes: hahahaha...
We spent most of our time with the 2 Destroyers in the booth, they looked like they were enjoying it, I know I was. I just couldn't believe how thankful I was that I live in MTL. The crowd was verrrrryyyyy different than what I'm used to here at home. The level of energy, vibe, everything that makes our scene here in MTL special is just not present from what I felt and saw in Ottawa. Very friendly people tho, and don't get me wrong, there were people screaming out and supporting Phillipe and Marco but, I guess overall, I like my MTL DJs better at home (compared to Ottawa) :p
We left at around 5:30am-ish and had a nice ride home, I went straight to sleep at 9am and woke up today at 5pm. Thanks to Marco for the hookup ;), Preach it was so nice to finally see and meet you :), nice meeting Princess Kim and I think I saw Kate Manus too.

The club had a pretty good turnout considering it was Easter weekend and it was the night before BeB. Haven't danced my ass off in a looong time, my legs were killing me this morning. There really wasn't any time to rest up, even when I tried to I still had to keep bobbing my head to the beat or swaying my hips :p
It was fun partying with the montreal crew (Wisnia, Shawn05, Stereohead and Moevalith) that came down and also Louis. I was relieved when Shawn actually made it in to the club and found it ridiculous that Wisnia got asked for 3 different IDs. LOL!
Will never forget the poopy smell, those girls jumping up and down the stage (not even dancing) and making the monitors shift to the point that they would almost fall and let's not forget the gay incident :haha:
I hope this happens again real soon! |

It was nice to finally see The Machine in Ottawa! :)
The music was basically what I expected... I thought the club was definitely improved with the renovations even though it's not quite finished yet.
As mentioned the place actually did smell like here and there... had to relocate a few times. Some of the girls on the stage were entertaining as well... worth a few chuckles!
Overall t'was a good night... nice to see Philippe again... I definitely miss the days when he was a resident here. :( |
