The story behind it:
"A well loved World of Warcraft PVPer suffered a stroke, died and her guild decided to hold a memorial service for her in game. Note the orderly line to view the “corpse.” A rival guild then decided to slaughter them all."
Ouch. |

For non-WoWers, it's pretty new.
I happen to be one of those.
Otherwise, a month isn't too long ago. First time posted, too. |

| Of course something like that's going to happen if you get a load of people together in the same place. Not enough people have enough self-control. |

| old, yes. The guild posted on several websites about the ceremony and that people were welcome to stop by at that player's favorite place to pay their respects. A random guild Serenity Now rallied their troops and decided to crash it. All in all, party crashed and someone stole 15 XP or gold (i forget) from the person's corpse. |

lol, you cant "Steal" anything from peoples corpses in WOW. you can only loot them in battlegrounds, and they give next to nothing, while taking nothing from the victim.
if they wanted to be safe, they should have held it in the barrens or something that isnt contested. Its a pvp server. And theres this little thing inside of me that says red=dead.
i especially like how the person who died IRL has their character up by the water (brought their by a friend w/ account access likely) and the rogue in teh video goes up and kills her. |
