So every once in awhile i'll pop up this thread, just to give an update or whatever on my life down in the durty souf.
furst off, these people in alabama drive in' nuts. i'm used to chicago driving - but these people do like 90 on the main roads [faster on interstates]. i almost got into 3 accidents driving down here.
secund - it's focking hot down here. like 90 is the high, with 90% humidity. glad my hotel has air conditioning.
thurd - southern accents = HILARIOUS. i giggle a little bit each time i hear one.
so yeah, this is proving to be a good time so far. lot of little stupid things have gone wrong that just make me laugh, cause it's my typcial stupid dumb luck.
here's a picture of 6 of us when we drove through Metropolis, IL. we stayed the night there, and we also stayed the night in Birmingham, AL before arriving in Montgomery, AL.
and here's me at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. not my fav style of music - but fun to see anyways.
so yeah, every now 'n then i'll pop up for a quick pictard or whatever. hope all is well in the MW!

I have the same shirt. When I was in HS... I wore it one day and they thought POW MIA mean prostitute of Waukeegan MIA (there was a chick named Mia in my class).

So i'm finally moving to Louisiana tomorrow!!!!
I've just finished my first assignment in the military. I just finished up a 6 week course for new lieutenants. and tomorrow, i'm leaving Montgomery, AL for Shreveport, LA.
I haven't found a place to live yet - the AF is giving me a week off to do that.
but I may not do it anyways, because in a month from now i'll be going TDY [Temporary DutY] to my weather tech-schooling in Biloxi, MS; which is 4 months long. so it may suck to get a place; and have to pay rent for 4 months when i'm not living in it. we'll see. i may do it anyways, because i've been looking online and have found some sweet ass houses that i may want to look into.
I've gotta admit, I think i'm still not used to the heat. every morning, I wake up and it's 75 degrees out w/ like 80% humidity. and it gets up to 90+ everyday. for a while it was hitting 99/100 too.
And it's only going to get worse in Marshland, USA.
Either way, i'm super excited tho - cause i'm going somewhere that i've never been before. it'll be a long 7-8 hour drive tomorrow; but it should be pretty interesting! |
