I will keep you updated on artists, tickets, after parties, etc. in this thread line. If you came last year, you know it was a good damn time. :)

This is the BEST weekend to visit Detroit and I cannot wait to see what they bring us this time around.

For further info, check out:
http://www.detroitclubscene.com/forums/index.php?showforum=69

Tickets for the festival are up on http://www.wantickets.com for $15 per day tickets. Weekend passes can be had for $40 each (saving you $5). Granted it's more than the $25 for the weekend last year but look how broke they ended up from it. The talent this year is superb and I know that it's gonna be killer.

Is it a festival with a music conference or just a giant ass party?

It's a music festival from noon-midnight Sat, Sun, and Monday and then there are scores of after parties each night. And after-after parties. And old school warehouse parties. And boat parties. And club parties. And house parties. :)

It's EDM for all - this year they plan on brining in as many veins of EDM as they can but are considering a venue different from the previous festivals to help conserve cost.

Pretty much, people get hotel rooms in downtown Detroit and spend a weekend with music and parties. :)

There is no convention with it - but there are booths for local and out of state labels/dj groups as well as vendors of all kinds. In the past, the DJ locals booths have their DJs spinning along with guests all day long in addition to the 3-5 stages that fun during the festival.

I would check out Paxahau's website for more info if you're interested in a booth. I know the Detriot locals are getting one for sure along with a Chicago group or two.
