Tilt - Control Me

I heard this once or twice when Explorer first came out, but somehome didn't think much of it. Then just the other night I heard it live from a local DJ, and it really caught me by surprise. Quite a fantastic track on a large soundsystem.
I'm very surprised this wasn't a single, and even more surprised it wasn't on the Explorer vinyl sampler. Take another listen if you don't remember it, and crank up the volume.
It's a shame I still haven't heard the entire Explorer album, but I haven't really had the money to put aside for CD albums in the past year. Maybe soon. |

| Oh, and in the same set I also heard New Day (K-Rox 4-4 Bender) live for the first time, and it really blew me away. |

Heard the Traffic Break Of Day Dub of that? It's quite tasty. |

Yes, Control Me was really one of if not the stand out on that album. I no longer have it so I can't listen again to refresh my memory but my recollection is that I really enjoyed the string arrangements and vocals on this track. I really like(d) the downtempo one, forget the name, maybe it was Venus in Transit...
I kind of felt the Explorer album was lacking...like it fell a little short of expectations.
I'd buy it if I had lots and lots and lots of money but if I had to be selective, prolly not. |

Reason Lost Language didnt put it on the vinyl or release it as a single is that it was signed by another label who have yet to release it . |

The track was originally produced as a bootleg by Mick and Andy (with the vocals of 'stupid girl' by garbage). For the album the vocal was recorded and changed to what we now know as 'contol me'.
Also for me also one of my favorite tracks from the album. |
