Hi...
I'm moving to Edinburgh in just over 2 weeks, and am wondering about the club situation. I am particularly looking for afterhours house clubs. I've noticed a lot of places close at 3am...that scares me a little seeing as how a lot of times we don't get to parties before than in Toronto. I'm also scared that the Edinburgh local DJ's won't be as good or something. Probably just paranoid thoughts. Anywho, if anybody could give me a list of good clubs(afterhours) to go to it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you kow any good resident DJ's that would be good too.

Welcome to the UK, man. Licensing laws here mean that many clubs don't stay open after 3 (except for high profile clubs in larger cities). I've never lived in the Edinburger but Liquid room I think sometimes hosts bigger name DJs. Most of Scotland's clubbing tends to go off in Glasgow at Arches etc (open til 4am I think). You could look in to Coloursfest, too, which will be a longer night. Edinbugh's pretty cool though, there's lots going on and it's got real character.
I guess you'll just have to get used to going out earlier and finding some house parties for afterwards :) |

| You should be boshing it by at least 9pm in this country! but recently the licensing laws have changed alot, not sure how much in scotland however. |
