| well me, being more of a dnb expert than trance, can really relate to this track. i must point out a few things, overall,it is an awesome track. i wouldnt mind jamming this in my car. its pimp! the only problems i saw was the lenght of time it took for it to build up to the "dnb" part. too long. worth the wait though. i liked it. its not TOO chaotic either, which is what some ppl like to do, they just go all crazy with the drums, you do it but you do it in a really good way to where it flows nicely with the track. awesome job! |

definately agree with you here, yoshi. i was considerign putting that halftempo section (with the bass) in the middle but then realized that the ambient intro and outro is mainly for mixing purposes so the wait would only be a minute before the regular percussion kicks in.
thanks for the comments! |

hey there!
awesome track and the ambient mood in the intro is cool!
i like your chilled beat in the "break" with the piano'ish sounds.
i would try for some more acoustic sounding snares in the main loop though for more power, or one compressed as one.
but the main is cool without it! |

Hey dude,
Loving the intro percussion, it has that movie feeling, the drum beat is very cool also, plus the vocals, the snare it's a bit flat for my taste, I would be playing with the reverb every 4 patterns to add deepness imo.
Nice play with the vocals and the fx's, but the drums still sounding to flat imo, loving the drum and bass bass mate.
In overall, its a solid drum and bass tune, I really liked it, very pro, the only thing I dont liked are the flat drums, they could have some autos with the pans and reverb, some powerhits also would be a nice touch, above all a snare power hit and kick but that's my personal taste, other than that this is really cool, saving it, keep it up;).

I like the way you play with the vocals.
Very much a dark dnb feel to the whole thing, although it seems kinda out of place with the the whole ambient feel you had in the opening. I was expecting something more along the lines of trancestep.
I like that little synth that jumps in every so often sounding like something out of an Aphex Twin track. There's actually a lot of Aphex like sounds in here, which is nice.
Good track. Very crunchy. |

dunno if reverb would be a good idea... but i know what you're talking about... the percussion is very flat and overcompressed, typical of most dark dnb stuff. the oldschool amens stuff in most ragga tunes are like this... i think it's a taste thing, but the way teh percussion is, is typical to the dnb genere... glad to hear you liked it otherwise, kopi

was trying to create that switch in mood on purpose... was following in the steps of evol intents style in their song "edge of the earth" lil ambient pads before launching into an all out bass and percussion assuault... to kind of throw the audience off... sort of heaven/hell thing i guess
thanks for the responses so far, guys :) |
