So, as some of you may already know, I got a close contact working for Access Music. The word is that the latest batch of Virus synths will be delayed because of some issue with the motherboard. Apparently the MOBO for the Ti synth was either ordered or made not to spec and about 500 units that were due to be shipped have been postponed and awaiting new guts...
Shame really... sadly, it looks like Ti is slowly becomming a new Xbox 360 - plenty of demand, not enough supply.
So, for those of you still waiting to get yours... take a deep breath... and be patient. |

Depends on the store too... if the store is in a low-income neighborhood or far from "rich folk" - it's possible. You have to keep in mind that person coming in to buy Cassio for $100 ain't going to shell out $2500 for a "a half of keyboard without speakers".:D
I actually know for a fact that next order that's due in at the end of the month will go to fullfill a portion of 3 month old pre-orders. The next one is anyone's guess.
:p |

engineering difficulties with complex electronics are getting more and more common.
this is what happens as electronics companies turn into design shops that outsouce most thier actual manufacturing and assembly to third world countries.
so i wonder, what vendor assembles the mobo, and what country are they in? |

| The Virus Ti has all kinds of problem with hardware.. and they say we just have to wait for the next hardware update. The vst plugin part doesnt work at all. |

Can you name some specific issues or are you just hypothesizing? From my own personal experienc with every single model of Virus and from interacting with other users - I would say it's probably one of the most reliable synths. What you're describing sounds like OS/software issue - but OS upgrades are not only free but many times include additional features.
Please be sure to substantiate your claims - I'd love to hear about it and I will be sure to pass it along. Also, keep in mind that many times the software is not the culprit - you have to consider the overall setup - e.g. DAW it's running on, sound card, drivers, etc.
And I have a VST part working on my system - what set up are you using? |

| quote: | | Can you name some specific issues | Off sync delay, notes getting off time, having to restart sequencer to resync to midi clock every hour or so, totall freeze up if you try to tweak too much/fast while playing, having to press the panic butten every 5 minutes... I can go on forever. I've tried with sx3, FL, and ableton, all exactly the same problems. I've tried tons of different buffer size settings, different master asio drivers (including the Virus TI Asio Driver that comes with it), I tried buying a PCI USB Card like they recommend, nothing. I tried on other computers. All the same .
Just go read TI forums to substantiate my claims. (Theres a thread about you there too btw) Everyone has the same problems. It's access's fault, not my setup. The TI part (why we bought it) is a totall failure. |

I would agree with all of this. Mine is sitting on my desk turned off for weeks now. Its wont sync midi, I cant even get it to hook up all midi (non VST) with Logic 7.0
A real treat:o |

| Still no 1.1 software update. I heard Access pride themselves on updates, which apparently get released quite often  |

| If 1.1 doesnt fix this I'm going to have to assume they shipped those faulty hardware units already in the begining. |
