yet again one of his CDs got stuck just like last time.
i heard 2 of his new tracks when i was there and i gotta say they are pretty bad!! too bad i couldnt stay that long.
second sun was great as well. they tore the place up.
see you after L.E.F. release ferry and thanks for the wonderful nights. |

It was my first time seeing Ferry at his Avalon residency, and I gotta say I wasn't disappointed! :tongue2: Didn't have to wait at all to get in when we arrived at 10pm, and not only that, they allowed me to bring my red bull in. :conf:
The night started off kind of slow with Dinaire (which I was surprised because I usually think Dinaire is good), and the dance floor was pretty empty but within the hour, it got PACKED. The drinks at Avalon were definitely not as strong as the ones I get at Spundae, but after 3 or 4, I had a pretty good buzz. By then, Second Sun came on and rocked it out. I, of course, went crazy when they threw down Crush.
Ferry comes on around 1am-ish (?) and his energizing set kept me dancing until the time we left (which was close to 5am). I recognized a few songs but can't ID them (sorry!). I didn't hear his cd getting stuck but then again, maybe I left by then. I was awed by how many people that were there that night, and how many people were left on the dance floor at 5am! A LOT!!!

It amazes me how peeps think the drinks at Spundae LA are strong.
Are we just spoiled up here in SF? Because it completely irritates me how the alcohol down at Circus are flat out measured with the little plastic shot glasses. Yet everyone always talks about how strong their drinks are compared to other places. :p
I usually have to plaster myself full of drinks at Circus. At Ten15, they do them right. At Ruby Skye, they do them right most of the time...then others I just gobble up the liquor from the big bowl. :p |

| Ferry threw it down HARD. Southern Sun was freakin amazing. Im still recovering, but i had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!! Was there from 11pm-5am, and when he played Star Traveller, i went nuts! He seriously is amazing, and i was walking to the bathroom when the cd skipped, so i didnt get to see his reaction when it happened. Dance floor was absolutely PACKED at 5am, gotta love avalon! |

| All i have to say is that the minute i saw that girl in the jeans and back top dancing next to the blonde go-go dancer... i knew they'd be kicking her off the stage for doing something dirty... HA! |

Let's just say it wasn't the best night at Avalon! Getting in was a pain in the ass.. and it was FREEEEZING outside! I guess there was some conflict with the guest list.. but it all worked out...thank goodness! (thanks Drew)
Victor was on when we got in around 10.. Very nice tracks, we were dancing around right away!
Second Sun was cool, live is always fun...
Ferry's set was ok... not the best set..nor the worst.. just no usual Ferry excitment or passion. Not to say Ferry was not having fun or playing great tracks... ( I found out later he was sick..so it all makes sense now...)
Security was different too.. not nice at all..threatening to kick Michelle out of the club if she went back behind the stage..come on, that blows!! She's a sweetie pie..
I did have a good time hanging out with my friends and making some new ones! |
