| what do you people think about it... and how does it compare with the CDJ 800 and 1000.... i think the motorized platter is sweet, and i would rather have it than the cdj 800, but when it comes to Denon DN-S5000 vs Pioneer CDJ1000mk2 i dunno.... |

| my buddy has a pair of these and they're a dream to mix on. muuuuuch better than CDJs imo. however i'd get the dn-s3500's instead.. they're built much better than 5000's or CDJ's (much like technics compared to cheap numark decks) |

yes the platter is motorized.. why are they built better and cheaper? because they streamlined the unit to have the features that DJs actually use and some that people wanted (let's face it, the 5000's have way too much stuff that just isn't practical to use)
also, people demanded that it be made out of metal instead of cheap plastic like their previous decks and like the CDJs. |
