Hi all,
I've recorded some vocals, but I'd like to make them faster as I decided to alter the tempo of my song in Cubase.
Could anyone please suggest what method I could use in Cubase to do this, as I dont want to go an re-record the whole vocal set again...
Any help appreciated,
Cheers |

it's easier to time stretch the vocals.
bpm you want devided by the original bpm of the vocals gives you a number. If you multiply the length of the vocals with this number you'll get the exact bpm you're looking for.
if you need to fill in the time stretch field with a % value just muliply the sum of the previous mentioned calculation by a 100. |

| Use the Time-Stretch tool in Cubase. Hold left click on the Arrow tool and pick "Sizing Applies Time-Stretch" from the drop down menu. You will then be able to grab the lower right-hand corner of your audio clip and time stretch it. If you know the exact tempo the Vocal was recorded at, you could also right click on it and go Process > Time Stretch, then type in the tempo it was recorded at and tempo you want it to be. |

i always end up resampling them
if i mess with them too much post recording, i get artifacting that makes the vocals not so vocal clean anymore |
