that may been seen as highly controversial, honoured, demented, elusive, eccentric, valued, etc... You pick. I'm wanting to dive into some interesting biographies/non-fiction, as fiction seems to have lost its lustre. I'm a boob and figure I can start with Che, Ghandi, Mandela, Hitler, Castro, etc. I was just wondering what titles you would suggest for a beginner wanting to read into the more possibly obscure, hazy or "shhhh'ed" revolutionaries or historical events.
Thanks in advance! |

forgive me if i assume that you're a female but might i suggest Susan B. Anthony and the Suffrage movement for and by Republicans.
screw Che. he was a turd.
Hitler's too obvious.
Castro maybe, cause he's still alive and to tie his rise to power to current events would be mildly interesting.
from your list i'd pick Mandela. just cause i don't know a lot about him.
Ghandi's just bald'n kinda boring. |

at the moment i'm very interested in the history of northkorea!
the 2 leaders of the nation were and are Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il!
you won't find that much information about the country as for excample china or the udssr but i think the topic is very interesting!
if you're intested try wiki at first and then amazon...they have some good books about the topic!! |

JEFFERSON DAVIS!
Oh, woops. :p
I would have to say Aslan Maskhado. You may disagree, but, in my opinion, he was the one to really get the chechens fueled for independence in recent years. Even though he is dead now. |
