, it looks like Im the first "review." Ok, I wont keep eager eyes waiting, I know the rest of the Midwest has been dying to know how this went.
Can I just say that Glaude is amazing? Wow. So much energy! We all danced all night. Andy had his Macho Man coat on all night too, save when he passed it around to the other "Macho Men" of the group. Tony bounced around the dancefloor from the minute we got there until the minute we left, just like we expected him to. Thanks for the drinks by the way, those things must have cost a small fortune. Rob was a dancing maniac as well, which was awesome. Mantra is a cute club, I really liked it. It kind of reminded me of the vibe of the Lizard Lounge in Dallas - smaller, more personal, and places to SIT! That was wonderful. The only thing bad I have to say about it is that the guys who run the fog machine need to hold off on it a little. There were points when I thought I was going to pass out. :p
Anyways, so Glaude played Freeform Five - No More Conversations (Mylo Remix) and mixed it into Mylo - In My Arms (remix that no one knows but everyone wants). Now, we all know how I feel about Mylo. But Ive been waiting to hear those two tracks live since the album came out/the track was released. So thank you, Glaude, for popping my Mylo cherry. Twice.
The show ends, and we all go up to shake his hand. I, of course, would never be able to reach the booth, so I just watched. In between bouncers threatening to beat up Bobby if we dont leave and Yuris making an ass of himself, Rob, Bobby, and Tony somehow got Glaude to say that he wanted to come party with us. Swell, right? Wrong. These bouncers were relentless with their tight tshirts and fake ear pieces. As it ends, we all get thrown out (some of us more literally than others) and no Glaude. :(
It was a great night, though! Im so glad I went. :D We shall do this more often. Myra, again, THANKS! Youre a great host. And it was nice to finally meet you and Rob! You guys are so cute together, tee hee.

Tocadisco Remix!!! Rob and i tried to get it before his show last night but the digital download isn't available in the US... somehow though we'll get it.
i would attempt to grace you people with a better review but i've killed a record amount of brain cells over the last 3 days... all i can say is that Friday night was one of the most amazing nights out i've ever had. i've never had as much fun with a group of people as i have when i party with TAs!! i'm glad we were all able to get together and party at my crack mansion!
oh, and Glaude f*cking owns. now i understand why Rob is so crazy about him. :crazy: |
