Neon Elektirk Version 2.0 – Friday March 10 (Second Friday of the month) Free Entry like always!!
A-bar,500 Chapel Street, South Yarra
Residents Drew K & Alex McKenzie to be joined by special guests Danni B & Mike Jules

The Neon Elektrik idea came about as the result of 3 Dj’s recognizing the need for something a little bit different in the dance & club scene. There love and passion for music brought them together and it is this that is driving them to put forward this concept.March continues on from where version 1.0 left off, as the evolution of the Neon Elektrik concept continues with it playing host to its first round of talented guests.

DANNI B (Tickled Pink)
Like most punters in the scene, Danni B quickly developed a passion for electronic music and its power to move crowds caught up in the moment. Wanting part of it, Danni began to make her in roads by playing tunes in her bedroom. Time passed and her ability grew, and in July 2005 her hard work and vision saw her out in the clubs with the monthly night Tickled Pink.Since then Danni has established herself as one of the front running, not to mention popular, up and coming talents in the Melbourne scene. Danni’s musical influences stem from a variety of sources which range from the house sounds of Tiefschwarz & Chris Lum, to the more techno-minded Vitalic & Slam. Not one to forget the past, Danni has also found great inspiration in the likes of Sasha, Digweed & James Holden.

MIKE JULES
Every day Caulfield resident & renowned house head Mike Jules finds himself waking up and thinking about music. It could be one of his records, or something from the radio, but in most cases he’s improvising and just making it up in his head! Growing up in Poland, Mike moved out to Australia with his family in the early nineties, and it was around this time that mike started toying with the idea of getting these sounds out of his head and onto a computer. He began to listen and experiment by making his own rhythms and melodies, and continued to develop his musical ear. Following several years of attempting musical production, Mike finally started mixing sometime around 1998. It was around this time also that he developed a taste for house music. Fast forward to today and mike has accomplished plenty. From staging club nights and hosting beach parties to writing and playing his own music, rest assured that a night with mike is a night to be remembered!

At Neon Elektrik you can expect to hear the best in upfront underground house music in all its forms. Be it Tech, Funk, Deep or Sexy your likely to hear it first here. Forget about genre boundaries cos there about to get smashed with the Neon Elektrik brand of future funk house!
