At the forefront of dance musicıs deeper realm stands Miguel Migs personifying the chilled-out, soul-driven vibe of the Naked Music concept. Combining the best of both the electronic music world, with live instrumentation to create an organic-soulful sound to his original productions and remixes. As a DJ Miguel maintains the same elements to his sets, as to his productions. Combining a variety of influences and styles fused together. Funky, Deep, soulful, bumping house music. "I like to mix it up and keep it moving, taking the crowd on a very spontaneous journey into the realms of quality, deep house music depending on the mood in the room", says Migs. "But, whether it's vocal, tracky, dubby, moody, percussive, broken beat or whatever, it just has to be very soulful, and funky with emotional content." Miguel currently can be found regularly travelling the globe as one of the industries top-leading DJ's, as well as at home in the studio creating music, which is his main love and passion.

DJ MFR resides in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. His musical history began at the early age of 18 when he began to djing in Rome. MFR's musical influences range from reggae, hip-hop and soul, to classic rock and jazz. In 1990 he connected strongly with the soothing sounds of soulful house music. In 1997 Marco together with Miguel "Migs" and Bruno Ybarra started Transport Recordings, an independent label today well established in the underground scene. Currently he can be found in the studio writing music ranging from deep house vocal songs and dubs, to funky late night disco tracks and smooth down tempo jams. A flavor for all the dance floors.

Um yeah -- I think I have posted this before, but whatever...
I used to go see Migs at this little monthly at the EndUp in SF all the time, cuz one of my buddies was hosting the party, and my record cases are full of Migs' tunes, mostly on Naked Music but also some of the ones on Yooshi, and I'm really just rambling on here, but the point is Migs is really great, and he has a very original style which permeates his productions and mixing, and if you've never seen him you abslolutely don't want to miss this. word. |
